Review an album that would fit into one of the topics of this course. Itmustbe an

album that was released during the time mentioned in the Chapters. (No compilations
of “Greatest Hits” collections allowed.) The review should be 750 words long.
 Research information about the artist/group and the particular album.
 Suggested questions to answer: How does this album fit into the artist’s career? How
does this album or the artist fit into the social context and music industry of the time?
How do the different tracks relate to one another? Is this a concept album? If so, can
you describe the concept? How does it make you feel and what does it make you think
of? Include dates, important events at the time – things that put the album and
artist/group into context.
 Go through the album track-by-track AND discuss it as a whole.
 Use a minimum of 3 outside (non-textbook) research resources for your overall
research work for this paper.
 Be sure to use proper citation format and bibliography/works cited page format. (See
Writing Help document and the course syllabus.) Wikipedia is not a valid resource,
and its use will constitute an automatic failure of this assignment.
 Follow formatting guidelines as listed on the course syllabus.
 Submit online copy by due date posted on Canvas.
The review will be graded as follows:
– minimum appropriate word count per content entry (content does not include
titles/headers/dates) – 5 points
– correct formatting, grammar, spelling, citations (when applicable) – 10 points
– discussion references & all appropriate elements – 10 points
TOTAL: 25 points
