First, using your eText (Brooks 2019) and the history guide lectures (lectures 10 and 11) assigned in the module materials, compare early Rome to the Roman Republic.

Second, after watching the National Geographic video, “Ancient Rome 101,” contextualize the week 9 module material (early Rome and the Roman Republic), by briefly stating what we might learn about in the coming weeks. Note that “Ancient Rome 101” is a brief summary of all the material we learn between modules 9-12.
Lastly, discuss one thing that has surprised you so far about Romans.
