In this assignment, and in the following two team assignments, you and your team members will practice your gained knowledge on strategic management through a collaborative analysis of an organization for the purpose of (1) completing a SWOT analysis through assessment of the internal and external environment of the firm of your choice, (2) thoroughly examining the strategies of the firm, and (3) assessing its innovation capacity and ability to sustain competitive advantage.
Summary
For this first assignment you need to choose a Fortune 500 company, analyze its internal and external environment through various tools, and conclude with a SWOT analysis that identifies the threats and opportunities for sustaining/increasing the competitive advantage of the company.
