From a personal and professional perspective, examine
the interrelation of hope, cognition, and worldview in
shaping an individual’s understanding of their reality.
More specifically, describe how these factors interact to
influence one’s perception of purpose and meaning in
life. Discuss the psychological mechanisms involved and
consider how variations in these factors might lead to
different interpretations of life purpose across
individuals. Related, explore the role of metacognition in
how we perceive and sustain hope, especially during
periods of adversity. Furthermore, elaborate on how
metacognition might help individuals develop their
worldview and consequently, their experience of hope in
various life contexts. This is a capstone assignment
bringing in content knowledge and critical thinking from
throughout the course. Be sure to reference important
terms, concepts, and theories from the course.
