Instructions
Part 1 – AI-Supported Brainstorming Activity
Use a Generative AI tool (such as Copilot, ChatGPT, Gemini, or another approved AI tool) to help you brainstorm emerging trends affecting your professional field.
You may ask the AI tool a question such as:
· “What are current emerging trends in educational leadership?”
· “What trends are affecting organizational leadership and innovation?”
· “What emerging technologies are influencing higher education?”
You are NOT permitted to copy and paste AI-generated responses directly into your discussion post. Instead, use the AI tool only to generate ideas or identify possible trends.
Part 2 – Initial Discussion Post
Write a 150–200 word response addressing the following:
1. Identify one emerging trend affecting your professional field (e.g., education, leadership, organizational development, technology, policy, innovation, artificial intelligence, workforce development, etc.).
2. Explain why this trend is important in your organization or professional context.
3. Describe one potential opportunity or challenge this trend creates for leaders, organizations, or decision-makers.
4. Briefly explain how the AI tool assisted your brainstorming process. For example:
· Did it help generate ideas?
· Did it confirm a trend you were already considering?
· Did it introduce a new perspective?
Your response must:
· Be written in complete academic sentences
· Reflect a professional and scholarly tone
· Demonstrate your own original thinking and analysis
Part 3 – Peer Response
Respond to at least one classmate (50–100 words). Your response should:
· Extend the discussion by adding a perspective, example, or question
· Identify a connection or contrast with your own experience
