    With the cost of steel changing weekly this means suppliers are only holding quotes for as little as fourteen days, so when if we tender for a job in January but we may not win till June the impact will hit the profit margin as at the time of pricing for the items and to remain competitive we cant put more then 15-25% on the price any more then we would price ourself of winning the potential work. The other factor is the cost of the electrical components that are shipped in from the far east, with the various taxes and time frame it can take to receive said good. At present as per the UKGT and MFN the rate is 3-25%. But impacting the initial ‘buy’ price the overall impact wont be seen till arrival of good.
