An introductory paragraph will explain the focus of this paper. Generally, you will introduce the broad topic of poverty in America. Establish a definition of the cause for this paper. You will acknowledge your audience. You will provide your thesis statement which will name the three potential effects of poverty on children in America. This introduction will probably be more than a single paragraph.
At least three body paragraphs will focus on each of the effects being explained with supporting evidence from three required sources. Consider a two-paragraph discussion for each effect.
The conclusion will include a restated (not repeated) thesis statement. Also included could be more information about the general issue of poverty in America.
