For your initial post, address the following: Introduce yourself to the class, sharing as much as you feel comfortable sharing. When you introduce yourself, think about more than just your immediate information of name, place of living, family, and job. Think about preferred names and pronouns, culture, ancestry, and identity. In your own words, define the term diversity. Then, discuss how diversity affects your daily life: your personal experiences, field of study, or current/future profession. Share only what feels right to you. If you wish to share your experience with diversity, include that in your discussion. If you feel uncomfortable sharing your personal experience with diversity, feel free to describe this discomfort, or highlight a section from the readings that interested you. For your response posts, address the following: Welcome at least two other classmates to our discussion by responding to their posts and noticing something you liked in what they wrote. Be curious about anything you don’t understand or see differently and ask questions for understanding.
