Develop a PowerPoint presentation on a clinical case that was seen during your experience or a topic that is of interest to you.

1. Select a health problem that primarily affects the Young Adult, Adult or Older Adult population. (Research what comes out in the Boards and look for a topic you are weak in)
2. Slide 1: Provide information about the incidence, prevalence, and pathophysiology of the disease/disorder to the cellular level.
3. Slide 2: Patient Presentation (Chief Complaint, OLDCART)
4. Slide 3: ROS
5. Slide 4: PE
6. Slide 5: Social, Vitals, Labs, etc
7. Slide 6: Differential Diagnosis with ICD # & the why you choose these
8. Slide 7: Plan and Cost
9. Slide 8: Provide patient education for management, cultural, and spiritual considerations for care must also be addressed.
10. Slide 9: Educate the advanced practice nurses on
    • assessment and diagnostic exams (Remember, APRN are the primary care providers)
    • Referrals if needed
    • care/treatment including genetics/genomics—specific for this disorder
    • WHAT ARE THE PEARLS NEEDED FOR ANOTHER NP TO REMEMBER.
11. Slide 10: What guidelines are you using to care for this patient.
