Supporting information

Note that this is an essay, so the format and structure should follow convention for this type of submission (cover sheet, introduction, main discussion, and conclusion followed by a list of references).  Although an essay would NOT usually have appendices, due to the nature of this topic appendices are allowed and encouraged to provide a visual insight into aspects of the event.  Please include images of the event in your appendices.

You should select an event of reasonable size and complexity to enable you to apply the above theories, however nothing too large or overwhelming – please discuss your chosen event with the module leader.

You should cover the different areas of design (Theme, Environment, Content, Entertainment, Catering, Production and Programme).  However, depending on the nature of the event there may be more to discuss in relation to some areas than others.

You should also ensure that you bring in and apply all the different theories throughout your discussion where relevant and applicable.
