I would be cautious taking a pill like this due to the unknown long term effects on health. Although it would sound tempting, I believe that the risks would outweigh the benefits.Not being able to dream can have some consequences such as problem solving, emotional balance, and creativity. Some advantages a person may have is career advancement in being able to have more time for work, quality time with family as a parent enhancing bonds. More leisure time for relaxation, or pursuing new interests, and a more fullfilled life with less stress to get things done by a certain time. Some drawbacks can be lack of REM sleep affecting the quality of work, increased fatigue, compromised immune function, as well as being susceptible to illness. Socially and emotionally inspiration and creativity may be affected because of the lack of dreaming which in turn can lead to stress and burnout.Personally I would not take the pill because of the fear of my anxiety getting worse due to less sleep.

The “miracle pill” may seem like a miracle at first but I’m pretty sure the body would be sleep deprived over time. Sure getting work done is great but you’ll eventually be at risk for a number a health issues. Physical and mental. First the body may not know how to respond if you stop taking the pill and death might occur. I will never take such a pill. I’m okay with 8 hours.
