Identify a current clinical issue or concern related to multicultural client populations (e.g., spirituality, cultural trauma, immigration and poverty, gay and lesbian issues, transgender individuals, indigenous helping modalities, health disparities, eating disorders, conduct disorder among African American males, bias in assessment and diagnosis, racial identity, acculturative stress, rehabilitation, family dynamics, poverty, etc.) and in which you are interested. Develop a literature review that will be suitable for possible publication in the Journal of Counseling and Development, Journal of Multicultural Counseling, Counseling and Supervision, or other journals in the counseling field or as a possible dissertation topic. In your manuscriipt, utilize both classic and current empirical literature and provide a detailed, comprehensive summary and critique of the issue selected. Indicate the gaps in the literature, and delineate how your review will fill that gap or add to the already existing literature. Also, identify the ways in which your research might help to create effective and systemic multicultural change. Identify the journal to which you want to submit your review and follow its guidelines for authors as you begin to write the review. In addition, the review should be at least 15 pages of content and exemplify scholarly APA writing.
