Throughout the course, you have reviewed several counseling theories. The purpose of this assignment is to demonstrate your knowledge of theories and models of counseling and how these develop both your theoretical orientation and counselor identity.
Create an 8-10 slide PowerPoint presentation that includes the following:
· Select two counseling theories from this course that spark your curiosity and describe the how the concepts of these two theories are relevant to clients from diverse cultural backgrounds and the ways in which they align with your view of human nature.
· Select one of the two counseling theories that most resonates with you and describe its effective counselor characteristics, behaviors, and strategies to facilitate effective counseling relationships that lead to client change.
· Identify and explain two ways the selected theory can be applied to eliminate potential barriers, prejudices, and processes of intentional and unintentional oppression and discrimination.
· Discuss how your selected theory aligns with your perspective on the roles of counselors and clients in therapy to facilitate change and maintain cultural responsiveness.
· From your selected theoretical perspective, explain ethical and legal issues relevant to establishing and maintaining counseling relationships across service delivery modalities. Support your response with references to the ACA and/or ASCA Code of Ethics.
Include the ACA and/or ASCA Code of Ethics (depending on your program of study) and six scholarly references beyond the course textbook in your presentation.

Expand upon the information included in the slide and do not simply restate it. Please ensure the speaker notes include a minimum of 150 words per slide.
