You will explore the meaning of a ‘project’ and ‘project management’ using both the material from class and your independent research. Incorporate real-world examples to demonstrate your understanding where applicable.

- Project Characteristics and Goals: Define project management, project scope, and the role of SMART objectives.
- Phases of a Project: Analyse the five key phases of project management: initiation, planning, execution, monitoring & control, and closure.
