N101: APA PEER TO PEER PRESENTATION REQUIREMENTS
Verve College Nursing 101 Students will be responsible for submitting AND presenting an APA formatted PowerPoint presentation on one assigned concept during the semester. ONLY POWERPOINT FORMATS ACCEPTED
PEER TO PEER PRESENTATION
THE POWERPOINT PRESENTATION WILL CONTAIN 10 SLIDES.
MUST BE IN ARIAL FONT BLACK ONLY 28 FONT AND MAXIMUM 6-8 LINES PER SLIDE NO MORE THAN 30 WORDS PER SLIDE; SLIDES MUST HAVE A WHITE BACKGROUND ONLY
EACH SLIDE MUST CONTAIN AT LEAST ONE CORRECT CITATION; FAILURE TO CITE WILL RESULT IN A 0% AND ACADEMIC DISCIPLINE. ALL PRESENTATIONS WILL BE CHECKED WITH TWO PLAGIARISM CHECKERS
Slide one: Title of presentation, Student’s full name, Date of presentation.
Slide two: What is specific concept/DISEASE/DISORDER
Slide three: Why is this concept important to nursing
Slide four: Nursing Assessments
Slide five: Nursing Diagnoses: Must have 3 ACTUAL-NO RISK FOR DIAGNOSES and MUST have HIGHEST PRIORITY FIRST
Slide six: THREE Patient-Centered SMART goals
Slide seven: FIVE nursing interventions + rationales
Slide eight: FOUR Patient/Family teaching INTERVENTIONS + rationales (CANNOT USE ANY FROM SLIDE SEVEN)
Slide nine: Construct a SBAR and make it realistic for your patient with CITED material
Slide ten: APA References: MUST be in APA format and MUST ONLY include what you used for citations
STUDENTS WILL BE GRADED BASED ON THE ABOVE (SEE RUBRIC) + PRESENTATION SCORE FROM INSTRUCTOR
• The PowerPoint presentation will demonstrate student’s knowledge of specific concept
• The PowerPoint presentation will exemplify student’s ability related to creativity, presentation of material, as well as grammatical, spelling, and punctuation aptitude
MUST use at least 3 peer-reviewed references. NO Nurse Labs and NO websites. NO Nursing Diagnoses and NO Nursing Care Plan Books or Websites
