Overview In this final part of your course project, you outline plans for testing your application.
Preparation Consider your textbook readings and Internet research on application testing procedures and their associated tools and the following testing areas to research. You will ultimately choose 3 of these areas to focus on in this assignment.
Functionality: Ensures the application works as intended. This includes testing all features and user interactions to verify performance benchmarks are met. Performance: Evaluate the application’s speed, responsiveness, and stability under various conditions. This includes load testing, stress testing, and scalability testing. Security: Identifies vulnerabilities and ensures the application is secure from threats such as data breaches and unauthorized access. Usability: Assesses the application’s user interface and overall user experience to ensure it is intuitive and easy to use. Compatibility: Checks the application’s performance across different devices, browsers, and operating systems. Acceptance: Validates the application against user requirements and ensures it meets the criteria for release. Instructions Choose 3 testing areas from the list in the preparation section as top testing priorities for your application. Do the following for each in a Word document:
Justify the choice of an appropriate testing method using 3 compelling rationales. Describe 2 appropriate tools/techniques for each testing method. Support your choices with professional references. Briefly describe what specifically will be tested and how the test is conducted. You might consider areas such as preparation, critical steps, timeframes, benchmarks, parameters, sequencing, performance, personnel required, processes and procedures that should be observed, data collection and analysis, et cetera.
