Share at least two SPECIFIC examples from the video. The second part of this writing assignment is to find two examples of LEED certified buildings in your community. Provide their names, locations, when they were built, which level of certification they’ve achieved, and at least two of their sustainable features – for example, gathering water onsite to use for landscaping. Hint: there’s a “directory” link on the USGBC website, that allows you to search LEED certified projects by location. Please note that your two LEED building examples are in addition to the 300-400 words.
A great resource for your local LEED examples is the directory on the USGBC website (here’s the LINK : https://www.usgbc.org/projects ). You can search by country, state, etc. (*hint: it can take a bit of time to load when you filter the search, so please be patient!). When you find a project you’re interested in learning more about, you can click on the scorecard and see in which categories it earned points. When you click on a particular category, it tells you the specific features, or steps taken, that earned the project LEED points.
