For example, African Americans make up between 22% and 24% of the state’s population but 60% of the inmates in prison. Furthermore, approximately 75% of the youth in juvenile justice system are Black.
- Briefly describe a situation in the text where Bryan Stevenson: a) advocated for a client (other than Trina, Ian, and Antonio); and, b) advocated for a community.
- To advocate for prison reform in Delaware, write a letter to the Attorney General requesting her support to: a) Reform Delaware’s Criminal Code; and, 2) Reform Delaware’s Bail system. Of course you will have to research information regarding these two issues.
