Students will select from the available webinars listed on the National Child Traumatic Stress Network (NCTSN) website to complete (https://www.nctsn.org/resources/training/webinars). Upon completion of the webinar, students will write a 3-4 page reflection paper that answers the following questions:
- Why did you select this particular webinar? What was the most impactful thing you learned as a result of this webinar? How might this information impact your work as a social work professional?
- How has the social work profession addressed the issue? What are additional ways social work practitioners can address the problem? How should ethics and culture be considered in practice?
- What research has been done to address the issue? Are there existing evidence-based approaches to address the issue (e.g. Screening tools, interventions, etc.)? How has this research impacted the issue? What additional questions or additional areas of research did you identify as a result of this webinar?
- Are there existing local, state, and/or federal policies that address this issue? If so, please discuss their impact with specific examples. Be prepared to discuss additional areas for advocacy and policy design to address the issue.
*A Certificate of Completion (5 points) must be submitted with reflection paper.
