There are requirements of a psychology professional. These include application of critical thinking, professional writing and communications, and codes of conduct. I will demonstrate and share my knowledge of psychological principles and ethics. I believe I have learned and applied critical thinking during my educational career because I’ve taken a critical thinking course. I’ve learned to consciously think about what I am learning about and how to apply my knowledge in a professional manner. I have learned how to think consciously about new concepts and apply them to my knowledge. I have improved my level of professional writing due to the massive amount of research I’ve conducted and assessed. I have learned how to write professionally and punctually. I have learned how to properly cite research information and demonstrate my own understanding of the material. I have used grammarly to help edit my work, which has been incredibly effective. I have also used grammarly for plagiarism reasons to double check my work. Each time I use a source I make sure to properly cite and give credit where credit is due. I do not give out psychological advice because I am not authorized to due so. Applying ethics is important to psychological professionals, it is a rule book of ways to conduct themselves. Our reflection readings demonstrates ethics because we have to cite our information and give credit where credit is due. It is important to properly cite authors and give them the credit they deserve. In conclusion, there are requirements of a psychology professional.
