Task A – Annotated bibliography (500 words) (LO 1, 2) Write an annotated bibliography to outline and evaluate five sources that you will refer to in your report (Task B). An annotated bibliography consists of two parts:

A full reference of each source, and A short paragraph after each reference that: Describes the contents of the source Evaluate is relevance, credibility and usefulness. Suggests how you will use the source in your report Three of the sources in your annotated bibliography must be taken from the mandatory source pack available on the module iLearn page. You may choose the remaining two sources to complete your annotated bibliography. These sources must relate to the content of your report (Task B).

You should: Provide title page, abstract and contents page Provide an introduction, method, and result (main body) In the main body: Uses the ‘PEEL’ method (Point, Evidence, Explain, Link) to develop your main body paragraphs Interprets and evaluates the numerical data to support your argument Paraphrases and summarises information from sources Uses evidence from the three mandatory sources in the assignment source pack and an additional two sources you have found. Provide a conclusion and recommendation Learning Outcomes (LO) By completing this assessment, you will have shown and be assessed on all four of the learning outcomes:

LO 1: Use appropriate language and structures when composing common academic texts LO 2: Write from academic sources with confidence, adhering to the values associated with academic integrity LO 3: Demonstrate the ability to interpret numerical data when presented within a subject-specific context LO 4Graduate Attribute 4: ‘Professionally knowledgeable in the subject area’. Describe key academic conventions that are associated with their subject area and discipline.
