Technology use is ubiquitous in and out of classrooms. Students and teachers increasingly use technology for both personal and academic purposes, making it necessary to explore major developments in technology and learning in recent years, have awareness of risks and benefits to technology use in the classroom, and encourage safe and appropriate use of technology.

Using the topic Resources and your own research, create an 8-10 slide narrated digital presentation for a professional development session designed for K-12 teachers. The presentation should not exceed five minutes in length. You may choose any virtual tools to create the narrated presentation. Suggestions include using a slideshow tool like Google Slides or PowerPoint and then narrating the slideshow using a tool like Zoom, Loom, and FlipGrid. Select the virtual tools you believe will best help you meet the needs of the audience. (I just need the slides done and I will make the video based on the slides so be sure to include what the presentation should consist of.)

Remember that video and audio quality are important and should be taken into consideration. Ensure your video is filmed with sufficient lighting and that the volume is adequate for viewers to hear. Intonation, expression, proper speech, and professional attire are expected.

The presentation should:

• Explain the major shifts in technology and learning over the past 25-30 This may include discussion of changes to norms, instructional methodologies, and/or the learning process.
• Explain two ways to implement safe and appropriate use of technology by teachers and students for the purposes of classroom management, instruction, and/or assessment.
• Describe two risks and two benefits of using technology for teaching and learning. Provide specific, research-based classroom examples to justify your ideas.
• Include a title slide, reference slide, and speaker notes. There are no notes required for the title and reference slides, and these two slides are not part of the total presentation slide count.

Support your presentation with a minimum of three scholarly resources.

Submit both the digital presentation and the link to the narrated presentation. Ensure that others can access and view the link to your narrated digital presentation prior to submission.

While APA style is not required for the body of this assignment, solid academic writing is expected, and in-text citations and references should be presented using APA documentation guidelines, which can be found in the APA Style Guide, located in the Student Success enter.

This assignment uses a rubric. Review the rubric prior to beginning the assignment to become familiar with the expectations for successful completion. Use any of these resources and be sure to cite them on the slide show.
