OPTION 1: HOW GROUPS INFLUENCE US
Chapter 9 discusses the different ways that other people affect our behavior and mental processes as well as the way that we affect other people. One of the sections (“How Groups Influence Us”) focuses on the ways that different groups of people affect the way we think and behave. Think about your experiences throughout your life, and discuss how you have noticed that different groups of people have influenced you.
1 Include at least one example or normative or informational social influence, using the correct term.
2 Describe personal examples of at least two of the five key concepts discussed in this section: social facilitation, social loafing, the bystander effect, deindividuation, and/or group polarization. Make sure to identify the examples with the correct terms.
3 Make sure to include a list of AI tools you may have used (e.g.,: Grammarly, Wordtune, ChatGPT, BingAI, etc.) and cite any AI-generated work.
