Purpose: The purpose of these journals is to provide students with an opportunity to apply their course knowledge of Digital Marketing, Human Resources Management, Applied Accounting or Banking and Financial Technology in alignment to their program and BUSG4301.
A reflective journal is a type of writing that allows you to reflect on your thoughts, feelings, and experiences in relation to a particular subject or experience. It is often used in educational settings to encourage deep thinking and personal growth.
A reflective journal for the work placement course is a document where students articulate their learning and experiences gained during their work placement or internship. This type of journal reflection paper is particularly focused on professional development and practical application of theoretical knowledge.
Format: Reflective journals are to be in APA format with cover page and reference page (if required). Minimum of 300 words
Components of Journal:
- Objectives related to concrete experience
- Reflective related to affective experience
- Interpretive related to cognitive experience
- Decisional relates to ability to incorporate experiences
Grading:
Rubric titled “Reflective Journal” is available within the dropbox of D2L.Once each Reflect Journal is completed, submit/upload the journals to the dropbox of D2L. The most current journals will be graded
