Week One: Written Assignment
Problem-Solving and Decision Making
Problem-solving and decision making are important in the health care arena, as well as in your own daily life. The five-step problem-solving process can be found in Chapter 1 of your text.
The five steps are;
1. Identify the problem,
2. Gather Information,
3. Create Alternatives
4. Choose and Alternative and Take Action,
5. Evaluate and Revise as Needed.
Directions:
Choose a problem in your own life that you would like to work on and apply the five steps of the problem-solving process. I suggest one short paragraph for each of the five steps.
Requirements: Students should use APA format. In a Microsoft Word document, type your responses to complete your assignment. At the very minimum, you should include your textbook as a reference, but include any outside sources used. Your word count must reach at least 250 words, but you can complete more. The assignment should be completed in your own words and use an intext citations throughout your written assignment. .
