hello, I have to answer 3 questions regarding why my gpa isn’t what it needs to be for the program I’m applying for. I need help. I’m not exactly sure how to answer these questions. I’m applying for a MSW program and I really want to get in. how do I make a strong case for my candidacy beyond my gpa concerns???
Before my grades started to slip, my grades were Dec- Jan B, B-,B-, C, and B-. Then everything went down hill Jan- March C+, D, B-, D-. and then back uphill April- May A, A, A-, A- (Criminal Justice Major). I filed for a divorce in January and everything just went downhill. From dealing with a custody battle, messy divorce, a miscarriage, and so many papers for school I felt like I was drowning. I don’t know how to answer these questions without sounded like I’m writing a million excuses. I realized I couldn’t let my ex spouse take joy from me and really went hard for my last 4 classes. I signed up for school because it was a way to escape all of the madness that was going on in my home the past 4 years. I’m really a great student. I value all of my work and time.
