Title: Strategic Analysis of Digital Expansion for XYZ Organization

The objective of this project is to apply the concepts learned in this class to a personally relevant or meaningful issue.
You have three options to choose from, but if you have an alternative idea, please submit your proposal accordingly.
(a) Develop a business plan for a for-profit or not-for-profit venture, which aligns with your future aspirations.
(b) Apply strategic management frameworks to analyze your organization.
(c) Study a strategic issue facing/faced by your organization (eg., a merger or acquisition or strategic refocus; digital expansion; adoption of a major organization wide innovation like incorporating AI) .
By design I have not offered much structure at this point. I want this to be a project where you use strategic management tools for a topic that is relevant to you. Once I know what you are interested in, I will provide more direction. So it is essential that you give me a proposal that clearly captures your thoughts.
There are a few criteria to keep in mind when you choose your project:
It should be something you are interested in.
It should be an application of concepts and tools from this class.
It should be doable (think of the time you have and the access you have to data and other resources).
To broaden the consideration of ideas, you should give me 3 potential project ideas. They do not need to be one for each option (eg., you might have three strategic issues you want to explore), just topics that fit this class that you are interested in. I will help you choose the best one. Below are elements that each of three potential projects should cover.
1. Title
2. Goal – what do you want to accomplish at the end of the project?
3. Motivation – why are you interested in this project idea?
4. Brief contextual info – name of the organization, your title or role etc.
5. Plan for doing the project. Include here, what data you need and how do you plan to get the data. This should be as detailed as possible, esp. the issue of data collection (published sources? interviews? surveys? etc.).
The more details you provide, the better assistance I can offer for a successful project. Based on your proposal, I may suggest resources, or suggest that you send me an additional draft
