Your third and final essay in this course is due on Friday, July 12th at 11:59 pm. It should be 4-5 pages double spaced.
In answering one of these questions you must reference at least one specific example from Borderlands/ La Frontera. You must also incorporate no less than 4 key terms from lectures, being sure to explain what the term means, when it took place, and why it is historically significant.
Three of these terms must come from the final third section of our course, entitled “Home Free? 1980s-2000s.” But one of these terms must come from an earlier section of the course in order to push you to make analytical connections across the course.
Question #1: What role has “home” played in the growth of American conservatism since the 1960s? Be sure to define your terms and provide at least three specific examples.
Question #2: How have various political, cultural, and social groups defined “family” differently, and how has the meaning of “family” changed over time since the 1970s? How has this shaped American politics?
