Title: The Impact of Adequate Nutrition on Early Childhood Development: Critique of the School Breakfast Club Strategy

In this written paper you will select one of the following topics: Adequate Nutrition, Opportunities for Early Learning, or Responsive Caregiving (additional detail provided below). For your chosen topic, you will explore the positive impact that the topic has on two stages of child development. You are then required to identify an evidence-based strategy specific to your chosen topic (Adequate Nutrition, Opportunities for Early Learning, or Responsive Caregiving) for one stage of child development and critique this strategy. In your critique, you need to explain how this intervention supports child development in the developmental stage you have focused on.

Opportunities for Early Learning- Play is an important part of social and emotional development across all stages of child development. Select 2 stages of development and explore the positive impact play has for each stage.  
Responsive Caregiving- A key aspect of child development is cognitive and language development, reading with or to children has positive impacts. Select 2 stages of development and explore the positive impact that reading with or to a child has for the 2 stages of development you selected.
Choose two stages of child development (infant, toddler, preschooler, school-aged or adolescent)
Discuss the positive impact (can name some weaknesses if it has any – i.e. limited to private schools etc) that your selected topic has on both of the stages of development you selected. 
Select one existing evidence-based strategy that has been implemented to support your chosen topic in one of your chosen stages of development. For example if you chose infants and adolescents, you only need to discuss your chosen strategy in relation to one of these stages of development.  The strategy can be from those listed above or from your own research. 
Use contemporary scholarly and evidence-based literature. Australian based if possible.
This paper MUST be of a High Distinction standard (according to marking rubric)
