PowerPoint Assignment:
You are responsible for teaching a short HIPAA Privacy & Security in- service at your organization’s new employee
orientation. Create a PowerPoint presentation you will use to train staff about HIPAA. Evaluate all the HIPAA concepts
covered in this course to decide what should be included, and what should be emphasized. In 10-15 slides, you should be
able to touch on many considerations and requirements under the HIPAAConsiderations could include, but are not
limited to:
● Differentiation between Privacy and Security
● Requirements under HIPAA Privacy & Security Rules
● Safeguards
● Penalties for Violations
Purpose:
1. To demonstrate your knowledge of the HIPAA Privacy & Security rule
2. To exercise your ability to consider your audience when developing a training tool for a group
3. To express your own creativity while correctly educating about HIPAA privacy & security.
Requirements:
Use PPT to complete the assignment, no more than 10-15 slides. It should be something that can help any employee be
compliant in the workplace. Provide presenter notes on areas of emphasis. You do not need to narrate the presentation.
