1. Select a health problem that primarily affects the pediatric population. 
2. Provide information about the incidence, prevalence, and pathophysiology of the disease/disorder to the cellular level.

3. Educate advanced practice nurses on
   • assessment and diagnostic  (Remember, APRN are the primary care providers)
   • care/treatment including genetics/genomics—specific for this disorder
4. Provide patient education for management, cultural, and spiritual considerations for care must also be addressed.
