Assume the role of a personnel administrator. Based on the information from your district and your literature review, design an action plan to recruit, induct, and retain special education teachers. Incorporate technology. Examples for recruitment: brochures, flyers, a webpage, radio, television and social media ads, and/or other advertising. Examples for induction: orientation to the school/district, orientation meeting about the school and district policies and procedures, meet and greet colleagues event, etc. Examples for retention: a mentoring program, pairing experienced teacher with the new teachers; a hotline for support, etc.
