Safety Audit
- With reference to the Health and Safety Act 2005 carry out a safety audit, to include:
- Role of the employer and employee
- Principles and procedures of good housekeeping which contribute to a safe & healthy working environment
- The elements and functions of the safety statement
- A comprehensive hazard identification using primary sources (e.g. observation, survey, interview and/or pictures)
- An evaluation of the risk associated with each hazard
- Control procedures for identified risks
- A re-evaluation of risks after implementation of control measures
- Your assignment should include:
- Plan of action
- Recommendations
- Assignment evaluation

- Select one occupation in relation to the learner’s vocational area of study. With regard to this occupation, investigate the associated risks and appropriate control measures of vocational specific work issues. Include:

Examination – 40%
This assessment may be carried out within a reasonable time after the programme content has been delivered. The examination should be 1 ½ hours in duration.
The examination will provide evidence of Learning Outcomes 2, 3, 7, 8, 9, 10, 11, 13, 14, 15, 16 and 17.
The internal assessor will devise a theory based examination that assesses the learner ability to recall and apply theory and understanding, requiring responses to a range of question types 10 short answer and 2 structured questions of which the learner will answer all. These questions may be answered in different media such as in writing or orally.
The examination 1 ½ hours in duration.
The format of the examination will be as follows:
Section A- 10 short answer questions – learners are required to answer all (2 marks each) Section B- 2 structured questions – learners are required to answer both (10 Marks each)
